The New Driver Car Control Clinic is now available in Akron/Canton through Myers Driving School. This is the same nationally-acclaimed program available through WKYC in Cleveland and around the country.

Teens and their parents attend a 90-minute evening  discussion of vehicle dynamics and human dynamics; followed by four- hours of in-car instruction in accident avoidance and defensive driving maneuvers on the subsequent weekend. Families bring the car the teen is most likely to end up driving to insure the student experiences the vehicle dynamics specific to their own car.

Each Parent/Teen team receives a 56-page work-book, and a  45-minute DVD detailing all 10 exercises in the curriculum. They leave the hands-on clinic with a step-by-step action plan to help them comply with Ohio's mandated 50 hours of parental involvement.

Price & Cancellation Policy -- Tuition is $169 per parent-student team. The tuition is non-refundable, nor changeable to another clinic date. The National Safety Council reports that one in four young drivers crashes a car in the first 12 months of driving. The New Driver Car Control Clinic is all about changing the anatomy of an accident by pre-programming the sub-conscious to break the chain of panic -- to prepare the driver mentally and physically to react to surprises with skill and precision. And more importantly, to recognize impending danger earlier so that they never enter the emergency zone where accidents lurk.

The New Driver Car Control Clinic has been training teens and their parents since 1997. A recent research study conducted by the Florida Department of Highway Safety reveals that graduates of this Clinic have 77% fewer crashes than their peers.
